Spring Concert Info


FHS Spring Concert
FYC, 5th band,  6th band, 
JHCB, FHS Concert Choir, FHS Concert Band

Monday, May 9- 7:00pm
FHS Gym

  • All choir members: please report to the HS choir room by 6:30pm for warm-ups. 
  • FYC Members: wear your t-shirt and BLACK pants
  • 5th grade BAND members:
    • Warm with the choir. You may place your instrument/music in the gym on your chair. After we are finished singing you will walk over to wear the band is sitting and take your seat for your band debut.
  • FHSCC: concert black
    • Gentlemen: black shirt, black pants, black shoes/socks, tie
    • Ladies: black dress or black skirt (knee length), black blouse, or black pants.  You must wear tan/black hose if you choose to wear a dress or skirt.
General Info:
  • All choir members are to sit with their families after their performance. Please do not be walking around during a group’s performance.
  • Tear down crew- please help put chairs, risers, piano, stands, equipment back to the band/choir room. Bonus points available (Do what needs to be done to earn your points-points will be awarded based on your involvement)
  • It is asked that all performers stay for the entire concert.  It is only polite and good concert manners.  This is more than just a performing opportunity – it is also a LISTENING and LEARNING opportunity! I understand if your child needs to leave for a pre-existing conflict such as baseball, softball, 4H, Boy/Girl scouts, Washington DC, dance, etc.  If you have no other meetings or practices, I would like that band members stay for the entire concert.
  • Please do not congregate and talk during performances either. Complaints have been made about students talking during concerts.
  • The concert is open and free to the public. Invite family and friends!


FES Spring Concert
Grades: 1st, 3rd, 5th, and FYC

Tuesday, April 26th- 7:00pm
FHS Gym

  • Please follow signs to your child’s “homeroom” in the front high school hallway at 6:30pm.
  • Please dress nicely for this concert- no jeans, tennis shoes, gym shorts, gym sweats, etc.
  • The concert will last approx 1 hour
  • The concert will be video recorded. Check back for the link after the concert.
  • Once a class is finished singing they will go back to their “homeroom” for the remainder of the concert. After the concert is over, you may get them from the room.
  • When 5th grade is finished singing- FYC members stay on the risers and walk to their FYC position.
  • YOUTH CHOIR: wear your t-shirt and BLACK pants
    • 4th graders, 6th graders, 8th graders: please sit with your parents in the audience
    • 5th graders: go to your homeroom
    • We perform last on the concert

    FHSCC OMEA March 11 CONTEST

    FHSCC & FHSCB at OMEA Contest
    Friday, March 11, 2016
    Thomas Worthington High School
    Performance Time: 5:20pm

    Itinerary:
    1:45 – Dress, load Trailer/Bus
    2:15 – Depart for TWHS
    3:00 – Arrive TWHS
    5:00 – Warm Up
    5:20 – Perform
    5:45 – Sight Read
    6:00* – meet in cafeteria, eat, Receive comments/rating
    6:15* – Depart for home
    7:00* – Arrive FHS

    *Change into your concert attire during school before we depart.  Regular concert black is the code. Please do not let your attire be a distraction to the performance.
    * If you wish, you will be able to eat  after our performance at approximately 6:00pm at the concession stand.  Bring spending money if you choose. 
    *If you’re riding home with a family member, I need a signed parent note by 2:15pm before we leave.
    *The event is free and open to the public for moms, dads, family, and friends of the FHSCC &FSHCB. No audio or video recording of any kind is permitted in the auditorium, and the penalty is our disqualification, so please keep them off and away during our performance, and the performance of other bands.

    2015 Spring Concert Info (5/11)

    Spring Concert 2015
    Monday, May 11, 7:00 PM – HS Gym
    Order of performance: (times are approximate)
    5th Grade Band (7:00)
    6th Grade Band (7:15)
    Youth Choir (7:30) 
    JH Concert Band (7:45) 
    High School Choir (8:00)
    High School Concert Band (8:15)
    Total Concert Time: appx. 1:30
    FYC & FHSCC: Please arrive by 6:30pm in the HS band room to warm up. We will warm up in the HS band room.  Band members follow Mr. Keller’s instructions here
    5th gr. FYC/band members: Once you are finished performing please return to the band room to get in the concert line up. 
    6th gr. band members: give your music and instrument to someone to take care while you join us on the risers. If you need someone to get your minion hat, please arrange that. 
    After we are finished performing everyone is to sit with their families. Do not go back into the band room.
    FHSCC: We will continue to warm during the 5th and 6th gr. band performances. Please file into the gym to listen to the youth choir.  We will run through pieces during JH Concert band’s performance.

    Concert Attire for CHOIR members:
    FYC members: black pants/skirt and youth choir t-shirt.
    FHSCC: gentlemen are to wear black pants, black socks, black shoes, long sleeved white dress shirt and tie. Ladies are to wear all black (black pants or black skirt, and black shirt, black shoes). Ladies- if you choose to wear a skirt, please be mindful that it is long enough and that you wear some sort of hose/stocking with it. 
    Please look your best!

    • The side door (by the band room) is the entrance for performing groups only.  All audience members and should enter through the back doors by the cafeteria.
    • If you are on teardown crew, please be stay and help fold chairs and move equipment.  Bonus points are available.
