The Fairbanks Music Department is the largest department in the school, serving over 175 students in eight grades.  It takes money to support our musical efforts, and student-raised money is a substantial part of that. Our goal this year is to raise $8000 from this event.  This is hopefully the only fundraiser for the music department as a whole this entire school year. This money is used for items like music, supplies, repairs, transportation, instruments, incentives and rewards, uniforms/apparel, and many other day-to-day expenses.  It is asked that all members of the music department help in this important fundraising event if it is at all possible.

Last year, this was the most successful music department fundraiser in history, raising over $9k for the band and choir. Demand for gourmet coffee remains strong and many people in the area have already asked “are you guys selling coffee again?” The demand is there, so be sure to ask your family, friends, and neighbors to help us out by purchasing whole bean and ground coffee and/or premium hot cocoa.

Band and choir members will receive fundraising packets on September 22 or 24. You can always download and print additional copies at the link below. Students are asked to sell as many items as they can from the list of fresh roasted free trade coffees or cocoas in the sales brochure. (Mr.Keller’s personal favorite is Jamaican Me Crazy!)

If your family chooses not to sell, we respect your decision. A tax-deductible donation of any amount is appreciated, although not required.

Students who either sell at least 20 items, or turn in at least $120 in donations* will earn a half-day fun field trip (when field trips are allowed)

*our profit is $6 per item. Any combination profit and donations totaling $120 or more will qualify you for the reward trip!!

These funds benefit ALL students in the music department.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Keller at bkeller@fairbankspanthers.org or Mrs. Cooper at tcooper@Fairbankspanthers.org

Sincerely,

                        Benjamin J. Keller, Band Director

Theresa Cooper, Choir Director
